Only 140 miles from London and Birmingham, east Devon offers much to keep the visitor occupied. A 15 minute drive is all it takes to reach Lyme Regis featured in many novels & films. Most notably its cob where "The French Lieutenant's Woman" waited in vain. The coast line here is a heritage site dubbed the 'Jurassic' coast. Close to is Sidmouth & the wonderful city of Exeter

Country walks, National Hunt racing, golf & fishing are all close and can be a most relaxing way of passing a summers day.

Antique shopping could be a must. Honiton is the Mecca of the antiques industry in the south of England. There are over 40 small emporiums which will tempt you to part with your money.
